DotOrg Foundation Offers Validation White
Paper, List of Latest Organizations Supporting Proposal Concepts for .org Registry
Washington, D.C. - August 8, 2002 - The DotOrg Foundation, one of 11 contenders
in the competition to take over the .org domain registry, announced today that a
new Validation White Paper is available for download at the organization's website,
www.dotorgfoundation.org. The DotOrg Foundation proposes to implement new validation
systems - using independent validators - to enhance the level of confidence all Internet
users have when visiting a .org nonprofit or noncommercial website.
The
DotOrg Foundation is a nonprofit organization partnering with Registry Advantage,
a division of Register.com Inc. (NASDAQ: RCOM) and Kintera Inc., an online solutions
provider for nonprofits. The latest organizations offering letters of support
for the Foundation's concepts include:
