To the ICANN Board of Directors:
I am the current President of the International Council for Computer Communication
(ICCC). In that capacity, I am privileged to report the decision of our Executive
Committee to support, without reservation, the Internet Society's bid to manage the
.ORG registry. The decision was taken at our 15th International Conference
in Mumbai this month. Formed thirty years ago by scientists, academicians
and business leaders in this field, ICCC's purpose is the advancement of computer
communication and the extension of that technology to all elements of society, in
all nations. Perspective gained during that long period satisfies us that ISOC's
management of the .ORG registry will enrich computer communication and advance the
use of the Internet. Please let me know if additional information is required.
Sincerely, Tedson J. Meyers, President, ICCC
