1) $50,000 is prohibitively expensive for an application fee! The all but elmininates
non-profit, non-commercial and chartible organizations. There should be a specific
clause in the final contract that allows a non-profit to file for either a FREE or
sliding-scale price for the application based on need. 2) Image Online Design should
NOT be charged any money in the second round of applications. They paid the $50K
but were not give a fair review, or reconsideration. They need to be added to the
root! 3) Network Solutions / VeriSign should be prohibited from profitting from
an new Top Level Domains that are introduced. When they have completely separated
their registry business and reliquished control of the Root Servers to ICANN then
they can start making money.
