By reading the "rules" and comments: The NONCOM
appears to be taking on the task of clearing out non-qualified
nominations from members thus eliminating those
who do not fit the criteatia of election. I would
presume that they would review and verify background
information. The "members at large" will eliminate
those who also do not make the "grade" by not voting
for their nomination after reading their backgrounds
The 10% requirement should be not the elegible number
of voters BUT 10% of the voters from a region that actually
participate determined by the end of the nominating
timetable. If someone is qualified and meets with membership
approval from those in their area the country
boundary question is not even material but shows the
non-boundary power of the internet.
I do not feel that we as members should be locked
into a nominee but allowed to vote and to change that
vote as nominees are posted until nominations are closed.
