I wondered about the critical review about IOD's application.
Please don't forget that IOD's .web registry is the only functioning
one - the other ones are theory! IOD's application is not
only a simple business plan or list of promises on paper like the other applications:
IOD's .web
registry is functioning at this time.
So I
can't figure out how non-existing .web registries such
as Afilias' and Neustar's
ones may be technically better than
an existing and long-tested one!
ICANN, please don't rely on promises and catch what is real
and
actual at this time: don't miss this wonderful opportunity - a .web registry that
may be online soon and that has been functioning for 4 years!
Now you can see that the 20,000 registrations are a proof of IOD's technical ability
(rather than a "fault" as they were considered by someone...)
Again, I repeat that the best choice to increase competition
on main general TLDs
is:
- .web to IOD (online very soon!);
- .info to Afilias;
- .site to Neustar;
