Subject: I disagree on number but agree on TLD types like .KIDS and .XXX

ICANN has stated that the additions of these TLD's are "Testbed" and I believe if they were to introduce hundreds and maybe thousands, this would simply create havoc in the root systems.

I do agree however on the initial TLD types to be introduced such as .kids and .xxx as this will go a long way towards assisting us in steering internet content into the proper channels.

Please allow me to elaborate on "Steering." Some opponenents out there would like to say that this is a "Freedom of Speech" issue. I cannot put it strongly enough to say that it isn't. It is simply placing content where it belongs.

Lets take for example Cable TV. The only way you can see xxx rated content is if you subscribe to it. This is the same functionality I propose for the aforementioned .xxx and .kids TLD's.

I propose that one day we as parents will be able to put our minds at ease because when our child types in a search engine the word "Graphics" while looking for christmas pictures to put on their home page they will not be given a list of links to Gay/Lesbian and other porn sites.

Sorry to be slightly off topic. ( I do tend to ramble on a bit )

Cheers,
