"Applicants to become CORE registrars must submit a check for US$10,000 with their application, which will be reviewed by the accounting firm of ARTHUR ANDERSEN. Once accepted, applicants must sign the gTLD-MoU and also remit to CORE organizational fees equal to those submitted by existing CORE members from January 1998 to the official entry date of the new member into CORE.  For example, an applicant approved on September 15 would remit eight
months of organizational fees totalling approximately US$10,500. If ARTHUR ANDERSEN determines the applicant doesn’t meet the criteria, the deposit will be returned, minus a processing fee not to exceed US$1,000."
