If you haven't heard about pornography
on the Web you must be living under a rock on the north pole. Pornography on the
web has been on the front page for a long time. It is a huge part of the Web now
yet ther is no .XXX tld . Not to mention that .XXX was voted first by the people
on the independant MSNBC poll. Yet ICANN has not approved
the TLD . WHY ? Because it may lead to a free speech issue ? It certainly would not
, since adult material would not be banned from the web . Even if adult material
is restricted to .xxx that doesn't mean it is banned. A similiar arqument would
be that if adult materail is banned from high schools it would be a restriction on
free speech. Abacus is an expereinced enough company applying
for this TLD . I can not find an argument against this TLD or this company.
