I'm appalled at the lax attitude
that ICANN is assuming in their approach to the implementation of a .kids domain.
I know the discussions that have gone round and round, as well as the countless hours
that parents, teachers, leaders, etc. have spent debating solutions to an inherent
problem. Despite the vast benefits of this tool, the Internet, it also holds
many dangers for its users. One of chief concerns remains the content available
to minors via the Internet connection in their home or school. It is my sincere
desire to see individuals and companies take responsibility for the material children
will view on the web. Restriction of information on firearms, tobacco, drugs, violent/hate
speech, etc. on the sites would be welcomed with great gladness and support.
Therefore, I heartily support the initiative by .Kids Domain, Inc. to encourage ICANN
in establishment of a .kids tld
