How many TLDs should we have? |

Obviously, to me, we shouldn't adopt an unlimited number of TLDs because the purpose
of having TLDs is lost. Allowance of all TLDs reduces the value of a top LD to the
value of a secondary LD. Should "supra" TLDs then be created? I feel that a limited
number of TLDs is necessary to allow competition and retain some value (monetary/utility/or
otherwise) to the TLDs. Enough TLDs should probably be created to make the
secondary LDs affordable to the average consumer in the resale marketplace. Gradually
assigning TLDs to keep this resale price reasonable should be an objective of ICANN.
