Wesley Vance
President, Diebold North America
Wesley B. Vance, 43, is president
of Diebold North America business unit and a member of the executive committee, effective
October 1, 2000. Vance, who was most recently a senior vice president of ArvinMeritor
and president of ArvinMeritor Exhaust Systems Group, Columbus, Ind., has broad experience
in global operations as well as a record of strong business improvements and growth.
He will be responsible for all the North America business unit's operations including
product development and engineering, manufacturing, sales and service, human resources
and marketing. In addition, Vance will oversee the security, campus and original
equipment businesses.
The global $7.5 billion ArvinMeritor Corp., previously
Arvin Industries, Inc., manufactures automotive ride control products and full exhaust
systems including catalytic converters, shock absorbers, gas springs, struts and
accessories for the original equipment, after market and replacement markets. The
group which Vance managed has been Arvin's flagship business that operates 44 plants
and 6 technical centers in 22 countries.
During his 10-year career at Arvin,
Vance held several executive positions. While based in Paris, he served as managing
director of Arvin Exhaust Europe, which included Africa and Asia. While based in
Toronto, Vance served as vice president and general manager of Arvin Ride Control,
which included emerging markets throughout the world. Additionally, he has served
as vice president business development of Arvin Ride Control and has held other managerial
and financial positions. Prior to joining Arvin, Vance worked for Deloitte Haskins
and Sells and Coopers & Lybrand where he held various financial positions such as
senior auditor and senior manager of tax.
Originally from Albuquerque, N.M.,
Vance earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University, Provo,
Utah. He went on to earn a master's degree in business administration from Indiana
University, Bloomington, Ind. Gregory T. Geswein
Chief financial officer, Diebold
Incorporated
Gregory T. Geswein, 45, is senior vice president and chief financial
officer (CFO) and a member of the Diebold executive team. Geswein, who was most recently
senior vice president and CFO at Pioneer-Standard Electronics Inc., Cleveland, Ohio,
has broad experience in global acquisitions, international operations and e-business.
He joined Diebold in March 2000.
Pioneer-Standard, a $2 billion leading global
distributor of electronic components and mid-range computer systems, was recently
named number three on the PC Week Fast-Track 500 list for its aggressive implementation
of e-commerce, business extranets and Web technologies.
Geswein is noted for
his proven expertise throughout his career in global acquisitions, including absorbing
acquired organizations into existing financial processes and systems. He is also
known for his ability to overhaul and streamline financial processes and implement
high-tech financial systems, resulting in improved productivity and faster flow of
information.
Prior to his assignment at Pioneer-Standard, Geswein spent 13 years
at Mead Corporation, Dayton, Ohio, a $4 billion international paper products manufacturer,
in a variety of senior financial posts, including vice president and corporate controller
and corporate treasurer.
Originally from Ironton, Ohio, Geswein earned a bachelor's
degree in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati. He went on to
earn a master's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance
from the University of Cincinnati.

Tom Cappelli
Senior director, Diebold Managed Services
Tom
Cappelli has over twenty years experience within the high-tech service, software
and product environment. He has held various senior-level marketing and sale
management positions within high tech computer companies such as Wang Laboratories,
Data General and currently Diebold, Incorporated.
During his career, Tom has successfully
developed strategic business plans to move service from a break-fix business to a
service partnership, managing service integration in the client/server marketplace
and professional services. In addition, he has developed and managed profitable
partnerships.
In his current position with Diebold, Incorporated, Tom is responsible
for directing the development of new approaches to deliver customer Value Added Services
and Managed Services to a Global market.
He is leading the Diebold service organization
to meet customers’ changing needs for Service in today’s increasingly complex business
environments.

Miles E. (Gene) Marsh
Senior manager,
Services Development
Gene Marsh has over 17 years of experience in information
technology. He has an excellent understanding of the business applications of technology
along with a superior technical knowledge and team management experience. At Diebold
since 1997 as the Senior Manager, Services Development, he has been responsible for
the investigation, development and launch of new services capabilities for the global
services division of a premiere ATM manufacturer. He has also developed Internet,
Value Added Network and services strategies as well as managed the development of
complete systems for e-commerce, marketing and services capabilities, including the
integration of new and legacy technologies.
After majoring in English at Ohio
University from 1979 to 1982, Gene studied Computer Science at Towson State University
in Maryland from 1982 to 1983. He has held positions as a Senior Manager, Network
Manager, Regional Network Manager, Senior Telecommunication Systems Specialist and
Senior Applications Engineer. As a Senior Systems Engineer for ODS Networks Inc.
in Richardson, TX, he was the principal design engineer for several large networks
including Target Stores/Dayton Hudson, Walmart, Diebold and Chrysler Corporation.
Later, as the National Account Manager, he directed custom product and service design
projects and was responsible for the management of large accounts and account opportunities.

Paul Fisher
Manager, Remote Services
Paul Fisher
has fourteen years experience in information systems, data communications and open-systems
platforms. He has spent four years at Diebold successfully developing a strategy
to leverage information technology and services in the financial and retail markets.
At Diebold, Paul is responsible for strategic value-added service initiatives,
as well as deployment of the same. He has successfully helped to identify a
strategic model for Diebold’s customer’s that allows for the integration of new technologies
from legacy infrastructures common in today’s financial networks. Paul has
championed a business model that addresses business issues critical to Diebold’s
success.
From 1994-1996, Paul was manager of five engineers for Connecting Point.
He was responsible for scheduling installs and ensuring completion of same, designing,
installing, troubleshooting and maintaining corporate local and wide area networks.
His experience include implementation of Novell NetWare 3.1x and 4.x installations,
Novell/SCO UnixWare, Windows NT Server, Windows ‘95, Windows for Workgroups, Personal
NetWare and Lantastic. TCP/IP protocol implementation to Linux Unix, UnixWare
and Windows NT Server, client connectivity to various Unix and AS/400 systems.
Paul
received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology in 1994, and since has designed
and deployed many local and wide area networks throughout the state of Ohio.
