Northern
Light, a leading Internet search engine and the developer of the world's first research
engine has agreed to function as the master search technology in the KDI proposal
for the .kids TLD. The beneficial impact of this partnership is two-fold:
1. KDI
will be able to use Northern Light’s patented classification intelligence technology
from the backend to search the network for inappropriate content as defined in section
E .19 of the KDI application.
2. .KDI will, from the beginning, be able to catalog
the entire network of .kids domain names, which will foster a more fulfilling experience
to users who wish to search the .kids domain.
LinkGuard Ltd. has agreed to use
their innovative “link fence” link-mapping technology over the entire .kids network
to ensure the appropriateness of links as specified in section E.19 in the KDI application.
KDI
further wishes to amend its application to specify an additional pricing category:
personal, non-commercial, minor registrants will be charged $6.00 to register a domain
name.
Respectfully submitted,
H. Page Howe
Chairman
