in Finland supports IATA's proposal to sponsor a travel TLD. TLD 'travel' is
a good idea and that IATA would well qualify to be the sponsor being a not-for-profit,
neutral and global travel industry association.
- There is a great value in the
security offered by a .travel address. What does it cost? In the end,
it will be the consumer who pays for this security and without doubt also willing
to do so, but how much?
- This is an eminently sensible and exciting move as it
will protect the industry, IATA being the appropriate body in terms of a watchdog
over the travel industry. This will have distinct benefits for the travel industry,
to be registered via IATA, and have benefits for consumors in terms of the purchase
of travel over the internet. This is really an issue of ownership and it is
prudent that it is owned by IATA.
Kind regards.
Yours sincerely,
/s/
