There must be some mistake. ICANN's concerns do
not merit a non-recommendation from the
Staff Report! It seems that ICANN is
not keeping true to the initial
reason for the Proposals, which is to provide
a better user model
to use the Internet. .Event does just that! It organizes
the web into
a workable medium for users, businesses, and even
advertisers!
Why does ICANN spend time worrying about funding when it
knows that an ICANN
approval means big bucks to any
applicant?! That should be the least of their
worries!
And technically, if Microsoft, Dell, and Cisco components are not
considered
reliable, then one has to question whether or not any
design is adequate. ICANN
must remember that the objective
here is NOT to encourage or facilitate corporate
inbreeding, but
to give the Internet greater efficiency and usability. .Event
does
nothing but facitlitate that end.
