The behemoths are out in the yard wanting to play together.  Here's a TV manufacturer wanting to give you a name on a web site (but only if your name is a nickname for R2D2 or his friends)

A technical solution from somebody with no experience in doing it.... ICANN looks concerned at their ability to implement and what's the deal with the naming convention ?....looks like a design plan for the Mir space station that's going to service 76 million users in year 4 ....yeah, right. 

No money or any real explanation of how much they need and why.
