To
my friends, So .web is tabled. Were they too frightened
of the implications of giving .web to Afilias at this point?
What happens now? Does IOD just keep reserving .web names for people?
Look at it this way. All of the objections to IOD are now official
record. By the time they are ready to look at .web again, Chris will see to
it that each and every one of these objections have been cleared up - including that
registrar/registry sham they cooked up, I would suspect.
In
my opinion, they have just made it worse for themselves now, if they still think
they can steal .web.

Would you like to hear the funny quote of the day.
I was observing
the session when they brought up Afilias.
Someone said,
"Afilias is asking for three names."
Someone replied, "No,
we agreed to just one name."
The first person says, "Oh, let
me see...they want... .info."
Someone else says, "No, the names
were not listed in order of preference, but rather, they were listed in alphabetical
order. Afilias has listed .web as their priority."
The
first person answers, "Oh...really..."
Is this this image they
WANT us to have of them. That they are just bumbling around, not really knowing
what they are doing. After all, who can blame them for making such uninformed
decisions?
