New.net is ameliorating the name space |

New.net is not wrecking the internet it is improving
it. If new.net becomes the official registry it will be great news for netizens.
Consider the .biz agreement. The best names are reserved for the registry and generic
trademark holders, the remaining names will be auctioned off to the highest bidder
via a lottery/probability system. In stark contrast, new.net names are awarded on
a fair first come basis for a very reasonable $25. New.net is simply reacting to
the market demand for additional tlds. In order to obtain a euphonic .com one must
be willing to pay an exhorbitant price to domain speculators. By creating new extensions
new.net is increasing the supply of good names hence reducing the cost of great names. If
ICANN's boardmembers were smart they would follow new.net's lead and quickly introduce
new tlds. We have been waiting 5 years for this.......
