In terms of stability, especially after ORSC's main root server, NS1.DIEBOLD.NET went off line, the ORSC lost 90% users. Already, ORSC and ALL alt.roots have only 1% visibility. But after that Diebold issue, ORSC has only 0.00000001% visibility. Which ISP would want to use such a root ? Also, you may/may not be aware that there is a lot of infighting among the ORSC/alt.root kiddies, eg. Richard Sexton, Gene Marsh, and Joe Baptista just to name a few of the kids over Diebold root server issue and other issues.         Feel free to check out Joe Baptista's posted article archived in the TLDA mailing lists, ORSC mailing lists, or DNSO GA-root mailing list.
