Well of COURSE there's infighting. "Cooperative, inclusive" my ass. Someone obviously forgot human nature before sitting down to make the "whole Internet". "Feel free to check out Joe Baptista's posted article archived in the TLDA mailing lists, ORSC mailing lists, or DNSO GA-root mailing list." Which? Joe appears to be a rather prolific poster; you'll have to be more specific than that.
