"What would prevent New.net or anyone else from establishing 1,000 or 100,000 pseudo-TLDs,
and thus claiming to have preempted all (or most) meaningful new TLD strings?" ..that's
very reminiscent of an older post of mine. Good job, guys. Although very few people
will actually read it, this paper stapled New.net to the wall.
