Indigenous peoples have been erroneously subsumed within nation-state domains.
This proposed new gTLD sets forth a useful and appropriate framework for recognizing
such peoples at a top-level domain. This recognition responds to and encourages
increasing participation of indigenous peoples in a multitude of local, national,
and international venues. The creation of more focused domains (and wider audiences)
enhances the social utility of the Internet, especially as domains are means by which
audiences become actors.
