The ability to create new TLDs should be left to the
at-large
Internet community, and not controlled by anyone. Perhaps with some
restrictions (e.g. valid nameservers, reasonable
assurances that the right will
not be abused), anyone should be
able to create their own TLD.
That said, NO SUPPORT should be granted to ANY ICANN PROPOSAL
until
ICANN implements some sort of at-large community involvement.
The way it stands
now, everything ICANN does benefits only the
large corporate interests because
the vast majority of Internet
users are NOT REPRESENTED AT ALL.
