Title: Please stop wildcards in .COM

To whom it may concern:

I join the thousands of other networking professionals who call on ICANN to eliminate wildcards from TLDs.  VeriSign's "SiteFinder" is a marketing ploy, which allows Verisign to redirect malformed .COM URLs to their customers' sites.  It provides no valuable service to anyone except VeriSign.  Furthermore, SiteFinder does not comply to the RFCs, and there are many documented instances of SiteFinder creating problems with existing network infrastructures.

ICANN, your role is to protect us from this sort of commercial abuse and exploitation.  Please act in accordance with your charter and don't allow VeriSign to "own" the entire unregistered .COM namespace.

Thank you.
