In that case, it seems to me should discuss this, figure out what we can do that makes sense given the timing, and that you (thomas) should deliver whatever input we can produce in a timely way, without waiting for the group to select a liaison. Pointing out the impact is not the same as producing a global opinion, and I think it is something we should do. (for which I had volunteered... but I am in the middle of getting ready for my conference, the one that is unfortunately the same time as Rio...)
