This proposal is not only wrong, it is dangerously wrong

I looked at your proposal, and I just cannot imagine what you were
thinking, Yes, it would certainly be easier for the entertainment
industry if they could get the names and addresses of website owners
whom they think are infringing on their copyrights more easily found.
However, given the current environment on the internet, publishing a
woman's name and address on whois, exposes her to extreme danger. The
same risk exists for men, who may be known as protesters against the
status quo.  I assume that you are aware of the pratice of 'swatting',
which is an attempt to cause the victim's death or injury by calling in
a false police report.

Of course, if a website can be proven to infringe, then the website
owner's contact information should be given to the court, and possibly
even to the person or business claiming the infringement. Publishing
that information on WHOIS amount to punishment, by exposing the website
owner's personal information to those who wish them physical harm.  Make
no mistake, this is punishment without trial. Maybe even execution
without trial.
