domain name registration privacy

I prefer whois site registration privacy for the same reason I prefer gun
registration privacy.  The slightest erosion of privacy is instantaneous
and permanent in a digital world.  And that data will eventually be abused
by government, military, corporate, NGO, security, non-state, criminal
enterprises for political or economic ends.
