public domain registration

Hi,

  RE: requiring all domain registrars to publicly reveal whom owns any
domain.

  As anyone can get a court subpoena if they _really_ need to know whom
owns a domain name I see no advantage to anyone other than litigators and
bullies of socially vulnerable people and I sure see the disadvantages to
with regards to someone whom expresses an unpopular point of view, eg
women's rights in the middle east.

 From what I see the biggest affect will be to persecute innocent people,
therefore should not be enacted.

I have yet to read in the media what benefit to society ICANN believes this
will provide...
