Dear ICANN –

It is possible
that eventually, all peoples information will be TOTALLY available to
everyone at all times. We could include more information such as tax
and credit ID numbers to look up on the net, thereby expediting
identity theft routes.

Providing private information to the
general public about business owners only serves to endanger them.
Most people who have worked for their income understand this. Big
businesses will have a distinct advantage in this way because the
entirety of their ownership will not be easily shown.

Regarding
the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services
Accreditation Issues Policy document):

I urge you to respect
internet users' rights to privacy and due process.

- Everyone
deserves the right to privacy, with the possible exception of ICAAN´s
administrators and desk-setters who will certainly benefit by having
their names published on the internet.

NOT EVERYONE wants the
instant fame afforded by universal publication.

- No one’s
personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or
law enforcement agency.

Private information should be kept
private. Thank you.
