ICANN - Jane Yank Says Respect Our Privacy
Dear ICANN –Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation Issues Policy document):
I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process. - Everyone deserves the right to privacy.- No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court order, regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law enforcement agency.
Private information should be kept private.I am the servant leader of a women's religious organization, the Community of Saint Anna, affiliated with the Monastery of the Heart, which is a program spearheaded by Sr. Joan Chittister.
You might be surprised how much hate mail I get already from people who hate liberals or feminists, without knowing any information about who I am or what I believe. It has become frightening at times - all because I organize a group of women who pray for anyone who asks without judgment. I can only imagine what I might get if people could actually find my home.
Please keep the WHOIS information confidential. Thank you for considering this request. Kind regards, Anna Jane
