 Dear ICANN –
Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation Issues
Policy document):
I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process.
- Everyone deserves the right to privacy.
- No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law
enforcement agency.
Private information should be kept private. Thank you.
Just because I may make money from a website I own should not entitle *anyone*
who wishes to have access to where I live, where I sleep or the number I use to
call my mother or text my friends. I should have control over who has access to
my personal information until such a as a judge, upon receiving probable cause,
signs a warrant legally denying me that right to privacy.
Thank you for taking my concerns and those of persons like me into
consideration.
Sara E
