Dear ICANN –
Keep my private home address out of publicly available databases. I don't need
anybody to know how many domains i have and where i live! It is of ZERO value
for visitors of website, yet data hoarders will have a field day with it. I
will sue you in case of damages or any negative impact on my life.
Fine that this information is public for company registered addresses, but for
private entities, please think 3 seconds longer for just forcing new policy.
Really think 3 seconds longer.
Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation Issues
Policy document):
I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process.
- Everyone deserves the right to privacy.
- No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law
enforcement agency.
Private information should be kept private. Thank you.
