ICANN - Craig Smarkus Says Respect Our Privacy

Dear ICANN –

Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation
Issues Policy document):

I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process.
- Everyone deserves the right to privacy.
- No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law
enforcement agency.

This sort of privacy is very important to me. I run my own website to post
my work and updates. I also stream on a service called Twitch.tv. Streamers
on this service is susceptible to a form of harassment called "swatting."
If my privacy for my contact information is not protected through privacy
services for my domain (which is linked on my various profiles and not hard
to connect to myself) then it puts me at risk of this. I do not want that.

Private information should be kept private. Thank you.
