ICANN - Gregory S Rundlett Says Respect Our Privacy
To: comments-ppsai-initial-05may15@xxxxxxxxxSubject: ICANN - Gregory S Rundlett Says Respect Our PrivacyFrom: Gregory Rundlett <greg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>Date: Thu, 25 Jun 2015 08:35:59 -0400
 Dear ICANN
Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation
Issues Policy document):
I've had websites for about 20 years. In all that time, I've always had my
info PUBLIC in WHOIS. But I always had the option to pay for privacy, to
avoid the spammers, and to give my web development clients the option of
privacy too. I can't believe you would take that control away from me.
I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process.
- Everyone deserves the right to privacy.
- No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law
enforcement agency.
Private information should be kept private. ICANN has a responsibility to
protect that privacy and not subvert it. Thank you.
Gregory S Rundlett
Web developer
