Dear ICANN –
Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation Issues
Policy document):
Please respect our privacy. There is no reason to make such information
available so easily. Anyone will be able to find out personal home addresses
etc, including criminals and competitors. At the minimum a court order must be
requested before protected information such as our home address be released. I
urge you not to make this change as doing so would be a flagrant violation of
our privacy and a step back in the post-Internet era.
Private information should be kept private. Thank you.
