Dear person working with ICANN:

First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this.

I am sure you are aware that we live in an era where bullying and threats on
the Internet are sadly very common, and some people get attacked simply for
stating what they think is right, so it's very important that they can keep
their personal contact information private so they can stay safe and not be
afraid of being attacked because of their beliefs.

So please, when considering revisions for the proposed rules governing
companies that provide WHOIS privacy services (as set forth in the Privacy and
Policy Services Accreditation Issues Policy document), I urge you to respect
internet users' rights to privacy and due process, because everyone deserves
the right to privacy and no one’s personal information should be revealed
without a court order, regardless of whether the request comes from a private
individual or law enforcement agency.

For democracy and freedom of speech to be able to work in a really just way,
private information should be kept private.

Thank you for your time, and I hope we all agree on this.
