Gisella Gruber-White 2:Welcome to the UDRP Domain Name Lock Working Group
Meeting on 31 May 2012
Alan Greenberg:MIchele There are a few 1/2 hour tie zones
Gisella Gruber-White 2:Apology from Andrii Paziuk as well
  Alan Greenberg:One in canada
  Alan Greenberg:tie=time
Gisella Gruber-White 2:Sheri Falco has joined the call
Matt Schneller:Marika, great idea to combine the questions - I think it flows
much better and is more user friendly. I think Marika's question 7 is probably
open-ended enough to cover any post-lock variations in practice.
  Laurie Anderson:Agreed, Matt.
Luc Seufer:Hum.. asking for statistics/research, not sure many registrars
will take the time to do this research
Laurie Anderson:Possibly. Some registrars may not track the numbers.
Laurie Anderson:If it's not a significant part of their workflow.
Gabriela Szlak:Is too bad this statistics are not mandatory for registrars.
Is it mandatory for UDRP providers to keep statistics?
Matt Schneller:We can ask the question to ask "approximately" how many UDRPs
the registrar handles -- exact numbers aren't really important for our
purposes, just a general idea of whether the registrar has to handle locking
for a bunch of UDRPs or just a few
Gabriela Szlak:Ranges is a grat idea Marika
  Gabriela Szlak:great
  Matt Schneller:Maybe 0-10, 11-50, 51 - 100, 101+?
  Marika Konings:Thanks, Matt
  David Roache-Turner:Agree with Matt
Michele Neylon:woohoo - one of my staff brought me more coffee
  Gabriela Szlak::)
Gabriela Szlak:For those that do know this, there is a + down at the platform
to enlarge the document!
Luc Seufer:Gabriela I love you right now! ;-)
  Gabriela Szlak::)}
  Michele Neylon:Mat - I see you
Gabriela Szlak:we are in question 2, right?
  Michele Neylon:5
  Gabriela Szlak:sorry 5
  Gabriela Szlak:thanmks
Luc Seufer:I was thinking of something not quite related to the survey, and
maybe more to the unlocking part rather than the locking one. As per the UDRP
policies there is nothing mentioned regarding the "unlocking" of the domain but
only the implementation of the decision which we (registrars) can't always
implement due to the lack of information from complainants. So maybe we could
use this WG to create an obligation for complainants to provide a min. set of
details to obtain the unlocking of the domain. What do you think?
Luc Seufer:5. Whether additional safeguards should be created
for the protection of registrants in cases where the domain name is locked
subject to a UDRP proceeding.
Luc Seufer:(sorry for the chatting I am in a noisy place)
Laurie Anderson:I feel your pain Michele!
Gabriela Szlak: My first thought is to wait but just as a common sense comment
Gabriela Szlak:I am sorry for not talkin, I am in a noisy place too
  Gabriela Szlak:(talking)
Michele Neylon:it's ok - if you type it I can read it into the record
David Roache-Turner:Juan, a range of information and real time statistical
data about WIPO's role as a UDRP provider is oublicly available on our
websitehttp://www.wipo.int/amc/en/domains/index.html
Laurie Anderson:I will be unavailable next week because I will be in Canada
for my son's college graduation.
  Gabriela Szlak:Congratulations Laurie!
  Matt Schneller:congrats!
  Marika Konings:Congratulations!
  Gabriela Szlak:bye everyone
Laurie Anderson:Thanks all! He's now an Aerospace Engineer!
  Gabriela Szlak:woooow
  Juan Manuel Rojas:congratulations.. ;)
Marika Konings:Wow, you must be so proud!
Juan Manuel Rojas:What do you feel about that? I guess you are proud of him!
Laurie Anderson:I really am! I dont understand half of what he says though!
  Juan Manuel Rojas:XD
Laurie Anderson:talks about jet propulsion a lot
Laurie Anderson:Talk to you all in 2 weeks!
