On behalf of the Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG), the following is a
statement of the Stakeholder Group on the Recommendations of the Generic Names
Supporting Organization (GNSO) Standing Committee on Improvements
Implementation (SCI) concerning adding a new section to the GNSO Operating
Procedures.
The RySG participated actively in the process leading up to these
Recommendations, and filed a statement supporting action of the ICANN Board of
Directors on 7 February 2012, concerning Further Bylaw Changes Following
Adoption of Revised GNSO Policy Development Process.
The RySG supports the SCI Recommendations for consideration by theBoard of
ICANN.
This statement has the support of a supermajority of the members of the
Stakeholder Group.
