Affilias should be removed as the operator of both .org and .info. They have a poorly trained support staff who's primary answer to any question is: "It has to be on your end." Even managers will flat out lie to cover inadequacies in their system and it appears that is what they are *trained* to do. Dissimulate rather than try to resolve issues. In the past 18 months we have had complete outages for over 8 hours due to an Affilias rep. mistyping and IP address and an issue where access to the registry dropped to less that 10% of normal access time. In the second case, the loss of connection speed, it took 5 months and several conference calls between VP and President level representatives over the course of several weeks to get an Affilias programmer to look at the issue. He resolved it in less than 48 hours and it was a bug in their code. Afflias' response was, basically. "Aren't you glad it is now fixed?" |
