RE: Employ Media sTLD Charter Amendment

Dear Chairman Dengate Thrush and Members of the Board:

I am writing as the president of Jobg8.com, a company that provides a unique 
service to the job board industry.  We obviously are concerned with the 
viability of that industry and I am very concerned about the plans announced by 
Employ Media/SHRM  as it relates to the .jobs domain.  I have over 10 years of 
direct experience in the job board industry and I can attest that the addition 
of millions of new .jobs domains would not be beneficial to either of our 
clients- (the job seekers) as well as the companies posting positions. The 
industry is already fragmented and our clients already have challenges in 
finding and managing the large number of niche sites already available as .com, 
.org or .biz organizations.

In addition, the original intent of the .jobs domain was to limit the use to 
direct employers which may facilitate the search by job seekers looking for 
employment.  There was never any discussion to allow a for-profit organization 
to control and monopolize the sale of the domains.

Consequently, I would urge you to reject Employ Media's request for authority 
to permit second level registration of strings that do not correspond directly 
to an employer's name in the .jobs sponsored top level domain.
