Support for Proposed LPRs & Strawman Solution Enhancements

I hereby indicate our support for the enhanced trademark protection
proposals - both the Limited Preventative Registrations (LPRs) and the
"Strawman Solution" enhancements.

 

As a corporate member of INTA, Rolls-Royce plc agrees with INTA's
position that the adoption of both the "Strawman Solution" and the LPRs
proposed are necessary in order to be able to provide adequate
protection for Internet users and to preserve third-party intellectual
property rights.

 

Without implementing these enhancements, it will never be possible to
achieve ICANN's underlying new gTLD policy of Protecting the Rights of
Others.
