The standard forms required to be used by registrars remove each registrar's ability to distinguish themselves within the market. In fact, this entire policy does that. No longer can a registrar claim to be able to take extreme measures to protect the property of their customers. Also, it does not account for special business models which may be offered by registrars.

Registrars should be able to decide how they will communicate with their customers and what they will say. The FOA only serves to blur the distinctions between registrars and ultimately lowers the bar for all.

This all, in turn, hurts all registrants and the industry as a whole.
