Dear Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers,

The proposal for a triple-X domain is very disturbing. Pornography is not
simply the selling of images and movies of adults engaged in pleasureful
activities, it is rather the explotation of peoples' sexuality. This sinister
form of entertainment turns people into mere commedities to be bought and sold.
It ignores their dignity as people. The affects of pornography are very
severe and are already affecting our society, things such as children beginning
to dress provocatively, even before they have fully matured, comes from the
mistaken feelings of being loved and accepted if they do.(children imitate
adults after all)

Pornography by its very nature is destructive, destroying the mutual respect
between men and women, breaking down the family unit and causing people to
develop serious disfunctions as a result. There are even studies suggesting
that frequent consumption of Pornography can have serious affects on your
health. This need to stop! We have enough problems on the Internet already
without encouraging more pornography.

A triple-X domain can not hope to control this multi-billion dollar industry.
Illegal activity will continue as long as there is a market for it. If the
triple-X domain bans illegal activity, they will simply find another domain
which permits it, while the numbers of new pornographic sites will sky rocket
on the triple-X domain. There are more affective approaches to bringing the
internet under contol then allowing a domain exclusively for pornographic
material. Please choose a method which will instead discourage pornographic
use instead of giving it its own space. For the child in all of us, please
deny this request, so that Pornography may not continue to creep into our lives.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. Please carefully
consider what you are doing, because it will a huge impact on the world.

Respectfully yours,

Drew R. Sponagle
