To ICANN,

I am opposed to the .XXX registry for a number of reasons and I hope you will
decisively deny its creation.

The creation of .xxx will not do any of the protective filtering that its
proponants suggest unless it is done in a way that would have a profoundly
chilling effect on free speach. From listening to panel presentations given by
the executives behind .xxx it is clear that their motive is only truly for
profit and not to "help protect kids" as some of them have claimed. The claims
they make might impress someone that does not know anything about the internet,
but anyone with a cursory knowledge of browsing and filtering knows that their
claims are without base. The people behind .xxx are not from the adult
industry, falsely claim that they are supporting it, and use threats to try and
coerce the industry into accepting their efforts to create xxx.

As a company with an established brandname and trademark, I am not looking
forward to the next wave of infringers. I will have to spend hard earned cash
to protect our marks.

I have relations in other companies that were misled into early support for xxx
which they have since rescinded.

Please deny the creation of .xxx, it is unecessary, creates undue burdon, and
is not being straightforwardly represented by its advocates.

Sincerely,

- Farrell Timlake

Farrell,

Could I please get you to write up an employee template letter to ICANN for
everyone to send off? If we can do this sooner than later that would be best
I'd think. Thanks so much!

Treasure
