Subject: .info confusion

Afilias says the sunrise period is for trademark holders only. But there is a Tucows register who says it is optional. I have mailed to them but no reply, are they deliberately trying to ruin the .info rollout?

They are also encouraging their customers to risk a fine by applying for internet.info and sport.info which are trademarked, and would certainly be challenged.

I don't see any good names going to cheats in the sunrise with invalid trademark claims - in particular, registrars enom and dotster with their auction system surely wouldn't allow this.

Will Afilias ensure that invalid claims are overturned in time for the round-robin, if not then they clearly have no interest in ensuring a fair rollout process. I mailed Afilias also with no reply.
