Like stated before, I believe this fiasco was purposeful. To extract the most profit from sunrise procedure.

As can be seen from the lack of even most basic validation, they did not care if it was fair, fatally flawed - or not well designed.

Even a student programmer knows you have to validate data entry.

IMO - As this benefits them to the *greatest* extent - on the balance of probability and given the total lack of competence required, the reason could not be lack of due care.

They had only one consideration - to screw the most profit from as many people as was possible.
