The entire process is a joke and a fraud. The only solution is to remove Afilias and eliminate the previous registrations and refund the registrations paid out.  If ICANN doesn't step in now and take control back from Afilias then they can be no better than Afilias.  The fact that the registrations were not checked even though checking on uspto.gov takes seconds per name just shows that the entire Afilias organization is a fraud.  I received an email from their attorney and his defense was that they said that they weren't going to check and he further said that the reassignments of fraudulently assigned names would be done in a undetermined manner.  I say not by Afilias who has obviously colluded in the fraud.
