is used. Domain names under IN-ADDR.ARPA are used to
record the allocation
of IPv4 Address Blocks
to ISPs.
Example: New.Net uses 204.69.234.253
253.234.69.204.IN-ADDR.ARPA
is used to
delegate that address space to New.Net.
A delegation like 204.IN-ADDR.ARPA
used
to have a street value of about $12 million
dollars.
It is hard to
say what 204.IN-ADDR.CHAT
will be worth, but the owner will have a
huge address
space to use to sell ISP
services, hosting, etc. to customers.
Think of it
as owning an Area Code in
the U.S. telephone system.
