Speednames, from memory, justified their (relatively small) prereg charges with the claim that the registry Afilias charged US$2 to cueue preregistered names. Did Afilias charge registrars fees to cueue names for which the registrars had sold preregistrations? Did registrars cueue Landrush names which had been taken in Sunrise - or did they just pocket the money? What of the registrars which charged US$20 and more for preregistrations and haven't made refunds to Landrush applicants with names taken by Sunrise frauds?
