Subject: Passing Off as TM

Jason, you say "..companies with TMs would have a .reg, it would make it harder for companies to argue that someone using a domain for which they have a TM, was passing off as them."

That is one of the main points - NOBODY COULD PASS OFF AS THEM.

e.g. In the case were Nissan cars tried to 'STEAL' nissan.com from Mr Nissan (using it for his computer business):

If he decided to sell cars - he could not PASS OFF as them, because nissan.com would not be redirected to nissan.car.us.reg

If you believe in the First Amendment (apparently the US Government do not), then nobody has the right to tell you what words you cannot use.

As the saying goes, "I might not agree with what you say, but I would defend your right to say it".
