Subject: Memorability matters most

With respect, I think you over-estimate the value of random type-in traffic.

I would say that random type-in traffic accounts for very little of most site visits.

Sex.com would account for most of this random type-in traffic.

The value in domain names, is that they should be memorable for the consumer.

Which is why bloggsandbraithwaite.co.uk type names are crap for advertising and marketing.

I do not know if Bloggs and Braithwaite exist - but if they were insuance company, they would get more traffic (profits) with the memorable insurance.co.uk (LLOYDS got it).
